I will be busy for the solstice so I’m posting this a day early. I need to make a real solstice eye palladium for myself.
Have a great Midsummer!

Happy Ēostre.

Happy Lupercalia. It’s time to break out the goatskins and cast away evil.
I was pretty excited to find these. I made the top one back before Christmas and added color to the bottom one the same day. I scanned them and took them down to Waxwing and by the time I got home my computer had crashed and I lost all of the scans I took of both of them. Up until now they only existed on the Waxwing tumblr page. Tonight I was cleaning up my computer files and when I looked in my scanner memory, there they were. The originals are long gone, but now I have good copies of them again.
I love archaeoastronomy and just about any ancient site featuring a celestial alignment. I’ve never been able to visit a location on its significant day, but I hope to. The girl up there is supposed to be Brighid, daughter of the Dagda. I made another papercut for Yule that I hope to post later today.
It’s the summer (estival) solstice! One of my favorite days. Unfortunately it seems my longest day will be bathed in torrential rain.
