Resigned To The SkyThis week is the one year anniversary of the launch of this website. I’ve had over 2500 visitors from 35 countries in that time. I know by web standards that isn’t a lot, but it is still surprising to me. I’d like to thank to Kelly Hogan, Jessica Slavin, Ken Nesbit, Martha Bayne & Steph Davies for helping me get this thing off the ground in the very beginning . A big thank you to the Waxwing for keeping people interested and to my friends for the encouragement.

Misery Loves CompanyI’m still trying to get full use of my knuckle back so I designed some simple small papercuts that I’ll be doing over the next few days. I may not post all of them depending on how they turn out.

Tortuga Roulette I had a nice time in Chicago this weekend. I dropped off several papercuts to their new owners including this one for a young man named Dexter.

I Live With GhostsI got a couple commissions and gifts completed over the last month and a half. I’m hoping to get re-focused on making new work for the Waxwing in the coming weeks. This and the last 3 things posted should be at the shop sometime between this Saturday and next Thursday.
There isn’t much I want to say about this. It’s the same color palette as ‘Pairs With Fox’ and has a similar theme, though this one is a little more dark. There is a lot going on, but I prefer it when people have their own interpretations.  I’ll leave it with that.
Sadly, I’m going to miss Art At the Gardens at the Boerner Botanical Gardens, but if you are free this Sunday, you should go.

Recompense

I accidentally ruined the first version of this a few days ago. In hindsight it was a good thing because it gave me the chance to improve the fox and re-scale many other aspects that make this look better over all. I’ve been working on a different design with a deep well for over a year. I should have it up on here soon, but not next. I don’t know what’s next, but that’s the way I like it.
